Who we are

LifeSystems (https://lifesystems.world) is run by Rick Tuinenburg. If you have a question about your data, write to rtuinenburg@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Your email address. Used only to verify your account, send you sign-in links, and, if you leave it switched on, tell you when someone replies to you. It is never shown publicly.
• Your alias. Public. It appears next to everything you post.
• What you post. Comments, replies, “helpful” votes, and any reports you file. Comments and votes are public; reports are visible only to moderators.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security. We use privacy-friendly analytics that count page views without cookies or personal profiles, and an invisible bot check on the sign-up form that inspects browser signals to stop automated abuse.
• A sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

• To run the discussion: show comments, keep you signed in, and send the emails described above.
• To moderate: review reports, and hide content or suspend accounts that break the community guidelines.
• To improve the blueprint: we read and summarize contributions to write future versions. See the terms for how contributions may be used.

We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, or send marketing email.

Services we rely on

Your data is stored and processed by these providers on our behalf, mainly in the United States:

• Vercel — hosting, analytics, and bot protection.
• Supabase — database and accounts.
• Resend — sending sign-in and notification emails.

How long we keep it

We keep your account until you delete it. When you delete your account, your email address and alias are erased immediately and the text of your comments is wiped. Empty placeholders stay so other people's replies still make sense. Backups held by our database provider roll over within a short period.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account anytime from your account page.
• Turn off reply emails on your account page or with the link in any notification.
• Edit or remove any of your comments directly on the site.
• Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to how it's used. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

LifeSystems is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
